AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS_CASY BOPP Chairperson

THE FAIRBOARD WILL PROVIDE PLATES FOR EXHIBITING PRODUCE AND AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS.

1. Registration time: .Thur. 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. & Fri. 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m..

2. Potatoes and root crops shall not be washed but should be wiped clean. Root crops will be cut with 1 inch tops.

3. All crops must be this years produce except clover, alfalfa and grasses, corn, beans and millet which may be last year’s  produce.

4. All entries not meeting requirements will be disqualified.

             Where specified, exact numbers must be shown in each lot.

CLASS I:   CORN

Premiums: $3.00, $2.00, $1.00

1. 85 days and earlier, 6 stalks

2. 86 to 93 days, 6 stalks

3. 94 days and over, 6 stalks

4. High Sugar Corn, 6 stalks

5. Ear Corn (10 ears)

 

CLASS II:    SMALL GRAINS

Premiums: $3.00, $2.00, $1.00

All exhibits one quart except where noted otherwise.

1. Hard Red Spring Wheat

2. Winter Wheat

3. Amber Durum

4. Barley

5. Oats

6. Flax

7. Rye (winter)

8. Millet, red

9. Millet, white

10. Soybeans

11. Corn

12. Pinto Beans

13. Navy Beans

14. Any other small grain

 

CLASS III:  SHEAF MATERIAL

Premiums: $3.00, $2.00, $1.00

Select plants with large well-filled heads and cut the stems full length. Final sheaves should be 2 1/2-3” in diameter.
