1. The Sargent County Fair Open Youth Beef Points Show is a sanction member of the 2006 North Dakota Junior Association Point Show for Beef. The show is open to youth; 4-H, FFA, and NDJPSA members, residing in the state of ND. Beef exhibitors must have reached their 8th birthday and be no older than 21 on show day. 2. Each exhibitor must show their own animal unless he/she is showing more than one animal in the same class. Animals must be owned by the exhibitor or actively involved in the long-term care of the animal. Showman with registered animals must present a copy of there registration papers at the time of check-in or the animals must be shown in the commercial division. 3. Showmanship will be held. Junior division will be all participants ages 13 and under on show day. Seniors will Be those participants ages 14-21 on show day. Trophies will be presented to the Champion and Reserve Champion showman in the Junior and Senior division. No monetary awards will be given for showmanship. 4. There is a $5.00/ person Fair gate entrance fee in order to enter the Fairgrounds. Early entries must be Postmarked by Tuesday, June 6, 2006. The appropriate early entry fees and late fees are listed on the entry form and must accompany the entry form. Animals may begin arrival any time Saturday, June 17, 2006. Animals must be on fairgrounds by 12:00pm on Saturday, June 17, 2006 and remain until after the show has completed. 5. This is a one day; show from your trailer show. Limited wash area and electrical hook ups available. ( You may want to bring your own generator) 6. Registration and weigh-in of market animals will begin by 12:00pm on Saturday, June 17, 2006. Judging will began at 1:00 PM. 7. IAFE (International Association of Fairs & Expositions) National Code of Show Ring Ethics will be followed. All exhibitors in any event at the livestock show will at all times conduct themselves with honor, honesty, and good sportsmanship. 8. Division & Classes of Beef Heifers: No cow/calf pairs will be shown. Heifers will be shown by breed. Classes will be split into four age groups. Premiums: The top three participants in each class will receive the following: 1st - $20 2nd- $15 3rd- $10 Overall Grand and Reserve Champion Heifer will be chosen from the top two winners in each class and will receive an additional $200 and $100 respectively. |

9. Division & Classes of Beef Market Steers: Steers will be split into three classes according to weight. Weight-in will begin before 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 17, 2006. Premiums: The top three participants in each class will receive the following: 1st -$20 2nd - $15 3rd - $10 Overall Grand & Reserve Champion Steer will be chosen from the top two winners in each class. They will receive an additional $200 and $100 respectively. Beef Show Order Heifers: Registered Heifers will be shown in alphabetical order by breed and a champion within each breed will be selected. Registered Heifers- (classes youngest to oldest) Commercial Heifers - ( classes youngest to oldest) Overall Heifer
